The next edition of the Anugerah Bolasepak Kebangsaan (National Football Awards) or ABK is upon us again, and this time Selangor FC is hoping that it can count on its loyal fans to participate in the voting process.

The event that is organised annually by the Malaysian Football League (MFL), will this year include a selection for Fan XI, whereby supporters of Super League and Premier League clubs can vote for the eleven best players from Malaysia's top two tiers, alongside several other categories.

Selangor FC stars from its first team and reserve squad too have been listed for voting, and the club is now asking for its ever faithful supporters to once again produce the fervent backing it displayed in the stands all season, only this time online.

There are 10 categories to cast your votes in, such as Best Head Coach, Best Goalkeeper and Best Foreign Player. A number of these categories are split into one for local stars and another for the import players, so your allegiance will not have to be divided!

For example, our first team Malaysian boys Halim Saari, Aliff Haiqal, Brendan Gan, K. Sarkunan, Mukhairi Ajmal, Nik Sharif, Nor Hakim Hassan, Syahmi Safari and Wan Zack Haikal (first team)  have been listed under Best Local Midfielder along with their Selangor FC 2 counterparts, while Oliver Buff and Alexander Agyarkwa were listed for voting in the Best Foreign Midfielder category. More exciting is the inclusion of two categories; Best Foreign Player (Asia) and Best Young Player (Under 21). The first also includes Ifedayo Olusegun, who won the 2021 Super League Golden Boot with the club, while the latter also lists our forward Ahmad Danial Asri, who bagged six goals this season.

Votes for the ABK 2021 Fan XI can be cast until 11:59 pm on November 28, this Sunday, so please hurry up and vote for our boys who have worked hard all season long. When last checked, it was discovered that only five per cent of the votes were cast by Selangor fans, a percentage that is admittedly too low for a fanbase which has displayed unadulterated devotion in the terraces this season.
?The votes for ABK 2021 will give a chance for Selangor FC’s fans to recognise the hard work and effort that our players have put in, and will be very much appreciated especially  by the young players.
